Beta 0.13.0

While the Energy Node on itself was functional and usable, it had some drawbacks. The efficiency was dependent on the tier of the core, instead of some other factor. What if one wants to use the core as a power transformer? As such, CelesTek Technologies has designed a new machine, the Conversion Computer, which is from now on the "brain" of the conversion ratios.

While working on this, CelesTek Technologies was contacted by GregoriusT, who taught them how to use the LU energy system from his own creations, creating a new wonderful bond between them.

Lastly, it was recently discovered that the Energized Hexorium can be sliced in smaller pieces, creating the new Mini Energized Hexorium.

NOTE 1: This update brings changes to the Energy Node. Your current setups will produce at 50% efficiency unless updated with the new block described below.
NOTE 2: Mortar & Pestle has changed its internal item name. It will despawn from your inventory and you should make a new one, or hack a new one in. This change was done so that it could be placed on a tool rack.

  • Added Conversion Computer

    • A new type of block used to construct the Energy Nodes.

    • Comes in two variants: Basic and Advanced

    • An energy node without any computer always has 50% efficiency.

    • Basic Conversion Computer provides 75% efficiency, while Advanced provides full 100% efficiency.

    • If two nodes are used, the efficiency is calculated as their average.

    • This change was made so that the Energy Nodes can safely be used as transformers for EU or LU energy types without any loss regardless of tier.

  • Added Energy Node Port: LU

    • An Energy Node compatible with the LU power from GregTech-6.

    • Available only if GregTech-6 is installed.

    • Default conversion and power rates are identical to those of EU.

    • Craftable using standard components and two GregTech-6 specific components.

  • Buffer sizes in the Energy Node Ports can now be set in config file.

  • Added Hexorium Saw tool. Used for crafting.

  • Added Mini Energized Hexorium.

    • Has an appearance of a regular Energized Hexorium, but with one eighth of the volume.

    • Crafted through a shapeless recipe using the new Hexorium Saw. Eight pieces per recipe. Saw is not consumed.

    • Can be merged back to normal Energized Hexorium by combining the eight on the crafting grid.

    • Used with the Molecular Transposer to swap colors of Glowing Hexorium-Coated Stone, Glowing Hexorium Glass and Hexorium Cables.

    • Deals only one heart damage when used with the Transposer.

  • Various Energized blocks can now be improved using Glowstone Dust.

    • These blocks include Energized Hexorium, Mini Energized Hexorium and Energized Hexorium Monolith.

    • Right click on the block while holding Glowstone Dust.

    • The improved block will emit a light level of 10 by default (adjustable in config).

    • It is necessary to dismantle the block with a Hexorium Manipulator to get the dust back.

  • Added NotEnoughItems compatibility for Crystal Separator and Matrix Reconstructor recipes.

  • Added even more gems from various mods to Crystal Separator.

  • It is no longer possible to restore Energized Hexorium built into Glowing Hexorium-Coated Stone and Glowing Hexorium Glass as this was extremely wasteful. Please use the Mini Energized Hexorium to swap the colors of them instead.

  • Mortar & Pestle can now be placed on a BiblioCraft Tool Rack.

  • Various changes to the buffer stuff in Energy Node Ports.

  • Changed the config for EU power for the Energy Node. The the EU Port is no longer given a raw value, but is instead mapped to an EU tier.

  • Recipes are now loaded during the Init phase.

  • Redid the gradle.build file for building-from-source convenience.

  • Fixed a hard IC2 api dependency.

Beta 0.12.0

It was recently discovered that White and Black Hexorium Crystals may be crushed along with regular everyday dyes to create special dyes which may be used to color the solid parts of blocks. Using this knowledge, a range of white decorative blocks was developed!

  • Added white version of most decorative blocks!

    • Also added White and Black Hexorium Dyes, and a Mortar and Pestle for crafting.

    • Includes nearly all blocks other than machines. Even includes buttons and pressure plates.

    • Blocks may be crafted out of colored Hexorium-Coated Stone or Tempered Hexorium Glass, or dyed afterweards.

    • Dyeing can be done using a shapeless recipe with a Hexorium Dye, or by using the Dye on an already placed block.

    • Dyeing is performed on the outer, non-glowing texture.

    • You can read about it in more detail on our wiki.

  • Added a Blue-Green colored Hexorium Switch.

  • Doors and Hatches can now also be color swapped with the Hexorium Manipulator.

  • Added a configurable offset for the glowing texture to prevent z-fighting. Some mods may mess with the rendering engine, causing this to appear.

  • Recipe Changes:

    • Hexorium Cables now have new recipes. They are now crafted out of one Energized Hexorium, two Tempered Glass and two Redstone Dust. Result of the recipe are eight cables.

    • Decorative blocks now require Hexorium-Coated Stone instead of normal Minecraft Stone.

    • The Hexorium Hatch recipe now results in one item, down from two.

    • A bunch of recipes are now less restrictive in shape, but won't affect pre-existing saved recipes in various autocrafting systems.

    • Hexorium-Glass Package can now be crafted out of most Glass blocks, mod ones included.

    • Energized Hexorium is now a shapeless recipe.

    • Rainbow Energized Globule is now a shapeless recipe.

  • Smelting Tempered Hexorium Glass now gives XP (same amount as if smelting normal Glass or Cobblestone).

  • Added an additional Ore Dictionary entry for all Hexorium Crystals as "gemHexorium".

  • Hexorium Furnace can now be disabled in config.

  • Crystal Separator can now be disabled in config.

  • Crystal Separator can be configured so that it can only process HEXCraft ores and monoliths.

  • Crystal Separator can have the special recipes for ChromatiCraft crystals disabled.

  • RF and EU Energy Node Ports can now be manually disabled in config.

  • RF and EU Energy Node Ports can be set to work in an input-only mode. NOTE: Ports already placed in the world will not automatically switch to input.

  • Extreme and total revamp of the whole code. Will it improve performance? Maybe, who knows!

  • Fixed a crash which would happen when interracting with a number of HEXCraft machines while flying using the Modular Powersuits jetpack.

  • Two differently colored doors should now open together regardless of color.

  • Molecular Transposer can no longer be used on same color.

  • Fixed a bug where Molecular Transposer was not craftable on vanilla Minecraft.

  • Fixed a bug where Hexorium-Glass Package was not craftable on vanilla Minecraft.

Beta 0.11.0

CelesTek engineers have been hard at work to try and simplify the crafting procedures for the Hexorium-based technology. Not only have they been able to ease up on the iron costs, but they also managed to develop a technique of squeezing the Energized Hexorium into crevices of materials to create new decorative blocks!

  • Glowing Hexorium-Coated Stone:

    • A new decorative block similar to the old Hexorium-Coated Stone, featuring a connected texture glowing Hexorium border.

    • 8 are created by surrounding an Energized Hexorium with 8 Hexorium-Coated Stones.

    • Has all 18 of the well-known Hexorium colors.

    • Can be uncrafted back to Energized Hexorium at the cost of original stones.

    • You can read about it in more detail on our wiki.

  • Added Iron Nuggets, compatible with other mods.

  • Massive overhaul of all of the recipes. Most machine components that used to require Iron Ingots now require Iron Nuggets instead. This was done as all of the recipes seemed way too expensive.

  • Glowing Hexorium Glass has a massively different recipe. The new recipe requires 8 pieces of Tempered Hexorium Glass surrounding an Energized Hexorium, and can also be uncrafted similar to the new Glowing Hexorium-Coated Stone. Please check our wiki for more info.

  • Other than the new glass and nuggets, multiple recipes were changed in other ways to make them easier to craft. Our wiki has been updated accordingly.

  • Removed the extra copies of recipes for the Hexorium-Glass Package.

Beta 0.10.0
  • Quantum Observer:

    • A unique multiblock chunk loader.

    • Created out of a Quantum Observer and multiple stacked Quantum Anchors below it.

    • Each anchor has to be surrounded by 4 solid blocks of any type. Vanilla Minecraft blocks work as well.

    • The machine is powered using HEX energy. 1x1 area requires 4 HEX/t, 11x11 (biggest) requires 480 HEX/t.

    • To turn it on, a Redstone signal has to be provided.

    • Can be automated using Pistons, by pushing the solid blocks away and towards the anchors to dynamically toggle the chunk area size.

    • You can read about it in more detail on our wiki.

Beta 0.9.1

Bug Fixes

  • The Sound Projector now properly plays sound again after a relog.

2018-02-26
Beta 0.9.0

New Features

  • Sound Projector:

    • A machine used to project sound anywhere in space.

    • In order to work, you will need to download an example resource pack. You can get one here: HEXCraft Sounds.zip. Please read the README to learn how you can add your own sounds.

    • Rotate it in the direction you wish to project, set up the UI and give it a redstone signal.

    • The UI has a variety of options: sound name to play, range of the sound, distance from the projector and whether it should loop.

    • Serves as a direct and improved replacement to the IC2 NuclearControl Howler Alarm.

    • You can read about it in more detail on our wiki.

2016-05-03
Beta 0.8.5

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a major bug which prevented players from crafting Hexorium-Glass Package unless they had EnderIO mod installed

2015-12-29
Beta 0.8.4

New Features

  • Added support for Ore Dictionary crafting. This means that you can now use any Glass, Wooden Chest, Iron Ingot, Gold Ingot or Diamond from other mods in the recipes, provided that they are registered in the Ore Dictionary.

  • Double Hexorium Doors now open together when receiving Redstone signal or when used by players.

Changes

  • Changed a variety of crafting recipes so they don't have to be centered exactly in the middle or exactly to a side of the crafting grid.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a major bug that was causing some Energy Node ports to output at incorrect rates. This was especially noticable with the EU port where it would output only 1024 EU/t instead of 2048 at highest tier.

  • Fixed a bug that would cause Buttons, Switches, Pressure Plates, Doors, Monoliths and Energy Pylons to drop when placed on faces of facades, covers and other similar blocks from other mods.

  • Fixed a bug that was making the EU port use custom values by default.
